Social Media

​The social media unit oversees the Clubhouse social media sites, website, newsletter, and any marketing directly associated with Clubhouse. Members record, edit, and produce video content for the unit in our state-of-the-art recording studio. Members participating in this unit are taking the lead with community outreach and spreading awareness for the Clubhouse. They are working on a monthly newscast so members can expanding their recording and editing skills.

Food Court

The Food Court serves as a place for members to facilitate a restaurant-style lunch service. Members and staff work together to cook meals and some snacks for the snack bar. They run the Snack Bar, which sells healthy snacks, beverages, and leftovers. Members learn cashiering and customer service skills by interactive with customers. Members also learn cleaning skills by doing dishes, routine kitchen clean up, bussing tables, and more. They also run the garden, which grows food we can use in our lunches. This unit has expanding and holds a monthly snack bar and DoorDash at our administrative office once a month!

Business Unit

The Business Unit is in charge of the billing for all Clubhouse services. They also learn filing skills, computer skills, and data tracking. Members can work at the front desk to greet visitors and answer phone calls. Members can utilize our on site bank where they can learn money management and saving skills. There is also a member Thrift Store where members can purchase affordable hygiene products, housing supplies and home decor. They make cards and calls to members for outreach. Members also take part in regular cleaning of the unit and shared bathrooms.

Transitional
Employment

A program that provides opportunities for members to start employment in the community. Clubhouse will assist you with all work related needs and issues while employed. These job opportunities last 6 to 9 months and offer absence coverage and on the job training and support.

Employment

An employment opportunity that is not time-limited. The position belongs to the member. Clubhouse develops and maintains a relationship with the employer and assists with job site development and training.

Independant
Employment

Clubhouse supports members who are working independently in the community. Independent employment positions may be full or part-time, and belong to the member, who has participaed in a fully competitive interview process.

Gaining a GED online

Job, Education, and Resource

This committee helps members who are interested in:

  • Getting a job- resume building, interviewing skills, job search

  • Looking into GED/higher ed/vocational schooling- connecting them to community resources, looking for funding, and support in their educational endeavors

  •  Other assistance- finding and filling out housing applications, FSSA forms, Medicare/Medicaid forms, etc

This committee allows members to share input on social events, lunch/snack bar/outing food options, and connects members with wellness opportunities in their communities

Advisory

This committee meets to evaluate and help develop our very own advisory board for New Hope Clubhouse.

Housing

New Hope  supports our members in obtaining their own personal housing by providing support with applications, travel to and from the Clubhouse, and connecting them with community resources. 

Social

Clubhouse provides members with the opportunity to have fun and build community with after hours and weekend activities. We do many outings such as: zoo, Tin Caps baseball, craft nights, Bingo, bowling, etc.

Advocacy

We advocate for our members rights and health by educating our communites on our program. New Hope has an advisory board that members are a part of that helps support the Clubhouse's functions and needs.
